Luhdorff & Scalmanini Consulting Engineers, Inc., a California corporation (“LSCE”), owns and operates this website (lsce.com).  All references to “we”, “us”, this “website” or this “site” shall be construed to mean LSCE.  LSCE is committed to respecting the privacy rights of its clients, visitors, and other users of this website. We created this Website Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) to give you confidence as you visit and use the website, and to demonstrate our commitment to fair information practices and the protection of privacy. This Policy is only applicable to the website, and not to any other websites that you may be able to access from the website, each of which may have data collection and use practices and policies that differ materially from this Policy.

2.1. WHAT BASIC INFORMATION DOES LSCE COLLECT?

In operating the site, LSCE may include registration and other online forms that ask users to provide their names, e-mail addresses, and other contact information.

2.2. WHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION DOES LSCE COLLECT?

2.2.1 AUTOMATIC COLLECTION. Our servers may automatically recognize visitors’ domain names and IP addresses (the number assigned to computers on the Internet). No personal information about you is revealed in this process. The site may also gather anonymous “traffic data” that does not personally identify you, but that may be helpful for marketing purposes or for improving the services we offer.

2.2.2 COOKIES. From time to time, we may use the standard “cookies” feature of major browser applications that allows us to store a small piece of data on your computer about your visit to our site. We do not set any personally identifiable information in cookies, nor do we employ any data capture mechanisms on our site other than cookies. In order to accommodate changes in our business, we may sell or buy portions of our company or other companies or assets, including the information collected through the site. If LSCE or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will be one of the assets transferred to the acquirer.

3.6 ACCESS TO INFORMATION. Unfortunately, we do not maintain any procedures for you to review or request changes to the information that we collect about you, except that you may request that we remove all information about you from our database by contacting us in accordance with Section 7 below.

The site has security measures in place to prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information that we obtain from you, but we make no assurances about our ability to prevent any such loss, misuse, to you or to any third party arising out of any such loss, misuse, or alteration.

5.1. PUBLIC FORUMS.  The site may include interactive forums such as message boards and chat rooms. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

5.2. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES.  The site may contain links to other websites. If you choose to visit other websites, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those other websites, and it is your responsibility to review the privacy policies at those websites to confirm that you understand and agree with their policies.

Some web browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites that you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Each browser communicates “Do Not Track” signals to websites differently, making it unworkable to honor each and every request correctly.  In order to alleviate any communication error between browsers and website, we do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals at this time. As the technology and communication between browser and website improves, we will reevaluate the ability to honor “Do Not Track” signals and may make changes to our policy.

We are committed to preserving online privacy for all of its website visitors, including children. This site is a general audience site and we do not direct any of our content specifically at children under 13 years of age.  Consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we will not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian who has discovered that your child under the age of 13 has submitted his or her personally identifiable information without your permission or consent, we will remove the information from our active list, at your request.
