About LSCE

Luhdorff and Scalmanini, Consulting Engineers (LSCE) is a groundwater consulting firm with four office locations in California (Sacramento area, Oakland, Chico, and Fresno). LSCE provides engineering, hydrogeologic, and related groundwater services to municipalities, water districts, and other public and private entities throughout California.

Position Summary

LSCE is seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual for a full-time position at our main corporate office in Woodland, CA as a Deliverable Specialist. The position is ideal for candidates who are self-driven, detail-oriented, efficient with deadlines, and able to work effectively with a diverse team of technical and administrative staff to create high-quality deliverables.

A successful candidate will work closely with technical staff and his/her direct supervisor to format and proofread all client deliverables in Word; coordinate proposals and their content in InDesign; create presentations and marketing materials; maintain firm databases; and various administrative duties such as answering the phone.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct the formatting, proofreading, and reviewing of technical deliverables in Microsoft Word. All deliverables are reviewed for errors, accuracy, layout, consistency, and formatting.
  • Develop proposals including the coordination of proposal process which includes RFP/RFQ review and compliance, proposal preparation, coordination of content and timeline, layout, review, final proofreading, and the physical production within the deadline.
  • The creation and formatting of client presentations in PowerPoint.
  • The organization and maintenance of company database (CRM, Project Descriptions,
    Resumes, etc.).
  • Coordinate with other administrative staff in performing general office administrative tasks including answering incoming telephone calls, screening, and transferring as appropriate; taking messages using multi-line telephone system.
  • Assist and/or take the lead in organizing company meetings and events.
  • Willingness to assume additional clerical responsibilities in other areas of the office as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and understanding of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Demonstrated strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills (selected candidates must complete an editing and writing test).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team and supervisor on status of projects as well as communicate ideas or suggestions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments, often under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to take creative direction constructively.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/English/Journalism/or related fields preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in related or similar position.
  • Experience working in Architecture/Engineering/Consulting (AEC) firms a plus.
